Module 2 of 5
By the end of this module you will have used the Body Signal Translation Map to translate one current symptom across three dimensions and identified one concrete response.

Four questions that take one symptom you are living with and turn it into something you can actually act on.
What this module covers
Your body is talking to you constantly. Simple signals get simple responses — you are tired, so you sleep. But the chronic and recurring signals tend to get ignored, misread, or waited out.
This module reframes symptoms as feedback rather than as the enemy, starting with the warning light on your dashboard. You notice it and keep driving. Then it shakes at certain speeds. Then the transmission goes, and you are stranded with a bill you cannot afford — when what it needed was a sixty dollar oil change four times a year.
It includes the story of a patient at our clinic whose blood pressure should have sent him to the emergency room, who finally started medication and then stopped it because of a side effect nobody had warned him was temporary. He was not a bad patient. He was an undertaught one.
The module then works through the three levels a symptom operates on at once — medical, psychological, and the one to do with meaning and voice — and draws a hard line that a lot of health content refuses to draw: your body did not give you a disease because of who you are or what you failed to process. This is a conversation, not a cause, and it sits alongside your medical care rather than instead of it.
If you are having chest pain or shortness of breath, do not sit and reflect. Go to the emergency room. Come back to this afterward.
Three takeaways
- Symptoms are feedback, not the enemy. Suppressing a signal without hearing the message usually means the pattern returns.
- Most noncompliance is a teaching gap. People stop treatments for reasons that a two-minute explanation would have resolved.
- You did not cause your diagnosis. Your body and your life are connected, but that is not the same as blame.
Doing this with someone
The worksheet is yours to keep and it works on its own. If you want a second set of eyes on it — interpreting a signal is much harder on yourself than it is with someone who is not inside your situation — that is what the coaching is for. See how coaching works.
